Saturday : Fun Day

Hi! Last Saturday, is such a busy day for me. J at 3pm we went to Villa Rivera a private resort near our place because it’s my cousin Kent’s 7^th birthday. It’s such a fun birthday. My lovely cousin really enjoyed his day. And here’s the fun thing, me and my ever loving cousin Ghel hosted the birthday and it’s an impromptu. We have to think for parlor games for kids. We let the kids play “Bring me”,” trip to Jerusalem”, “longest happy birthday”, and “shoot the straw on the bottle”. There’s also Pabitin and Hampas Palayok. Pabitin is a square trellis where goodies (candies, fruits, small trinkets, etc.) are hung by strings. This trellis is, in turn, tied to a rope and is suspended on a strong branch or pole. The children then gather under the trellis and they jump as high as they can to try to pick the goodies as the trellis is slowly lowered to them while someone jerks it up and down repeatedly until all the goodies are gone. while Hampas palayok (in English: hitting the pot) is a traditional Filipino game that involves a person's memory and his ability in hitting objects. It is usually played by two or more contestants who must hit the palayok or clay pot using a club or bat while blindfolded. The first player who can smash the palayok into pieces wins a prize. Every palayok contains coins, candies and other small prizes, which are available to anyone who can grab them as soon as they fall to the ground. For this reason, it is very common to see children gather around the palayok and wait for someone to break it into pieces. This game, due to its fun and exciting nature, is often played during town fiestas, parties and other celebrations. We are so happy to see the kids are really enjoying the games. The food is good. :) yummy :) hehe,. After the party, I have to go to another party but we decided not to go coz we’re already late. So me and my boyfriend just watched the movie SALT starring Angelina Jolie. It’s a really good movie. Evelyn salt is soooo intelligent. I love the stunts, and the adrenaline rush! Im giving the movie two thumbs up.
